Who We Are
Chapa Ilale Development Group (CIDG) is a grassroots organization formed to address community challenges and create opportunities for growth and development.
Working across Vihiga County, we run programmes in education, youth and women empowerment, health and well-being, agriculture, culture, artisan and Jua Kali enterprise, and community safety — alongside a planned community radio station.

Community Radio & Information
We intend to set up a Community Based Radio Station in Vihiga County for the following activities:
A community voice for education, health, safety alerts, youth talent and women’s empowerment stories — broadcast across Vihiga County.
- Broadcasting education programs
- Running awareness campaigns and public education programs
- Inviting experts (teachers, health workers, leaders)
- Partnering with local organizations for advocacy campaigns
- Airing health awareness shows
- Engaging the public through call-ins, SMS and social media
- Providing a platform for youth voices and talent
